Iofield has a Temperate Deciduous Forest climate, which is characterized by warm and wet summers with mild and dry winters, and has prevernal, spring, summer, monsoon, autumn and winter seasons. Winds in the region are mild and the temperature is generally mild with moderate variation. Precipitation is moderate, and the sky is clear.

Iofield sees a binary star overhead: Uujor, a large yellow star and Lujek, a massive brown star. Iofield also has a single moon: Sinoro, an average bone white moon. In the night sky, you see three celestial objects: a massive nebula that has been around for generations, a massive nearby planet that has been around for decades, and an imposing pulsar that has been around for all eternity.

Iofield is governed through a democracy, where the supreme power is retained by the people, but is exercised through a system of representation. The government as a whole is seen as ruthlessly effective. Officials in Iofield are often seen as decent and the policies are hated. The political influence of Iofield in the region is steady due to a thwarted assassination attempt. In times of crisis, the population comes together and fights as one.

Iofield is ruled by Governor Shuzush Moksnapper. The Governor has been in power for several decades and is feared by the people. There is forceful opposition to the Governor and policies. The right to rule was granted by appointment, and that power is maintained through the acclaim of the nobles.
