Camald has a Moist Subtropical climate, which is characterized by warm and wet summers with mild and wet winters, and has prevernal, spring, summer, monsoon, autumn and winter seasons. Winds in the region are soft and the temperature is generally unbearably cold with high variation. Precipitation is excessive, and the sky is continually overcast.

Camald is governed through an emirate, where the supreme power is in the hands of an emir, who may be an absolute overlord with constitutionally limited authority. The government as a whole is seen as horribly inefficient. Officials in Camald are often seen as willing to look the other way for the right price and the policies are loved. The political influence of Camald in the region is growing due to a thwarted assassination attempt. In times of crisis, the population comes together and fights as one.

Camald is ruled by Prime Minister Rhubgak Backkiller. The Prime Minister has been in power for mere days and is hated by the people. There is hostile opposition to the Prime Minister and policies. The right to rule was granted by foreign imposition, and that power is maintained through the writ of law.

  • In times past, the royals of Fairville Crest lived in peace. Things were peaceful, but one day an evil dragon named Tgus Rockhand took over the town. The royals tried to kill Tgus Rockhand, but were caught. Along came a lycanthrope named Dave Chrisworth, who was an expert bowman. Dave had the thought to slay the dragon by causing a distraction while others struck. When Dave Chrisworth faced the dragon, Dave Chrisworth defeated Tgus Rockhand and rescued Fairville Crest.
  • Legends tell of Mok's Sceptre, a legendary sceptre with the capability to dominate others. It hasn't reappeared in years.
