Regenland has a Tropical Rainforest climate, which is characterized by constant high temperatures, continual rain year-round, and has minimal natural seasons, and has negligible seasons. Winds in the region are mild and the temperature is generally warm with little variation. Precipitation is massive, and the sky is clear.

Regenland sees a binary star overhead: Uux, an average blue star and Lucun, an average yellow star. Regenland also has a single moon: Sinodo, an average bone white moon. In the night sky, you see three celestial objects: a massive pulsar that has been around for centuries, a massive galaxy that has been around for all eternity, and an imposing asteroid belt that has been around for millenia.

Visitors are greeted with a sturdy sandstone wall that is 9 meters tall. The city wall protects the core 100% of the city, with 5 towers spread along the 2.70 kilometer wall.

Regenland is governed through a federation, where sovereign power is formally divided between a central authority and a number of constituent regions. The government as a whole is seen as minimally competent. Officials in Regenland are often seen as fair and the policies are despised. The political influence of Regenland in the region is dwindling rapidly due to food shortages in the region. In times of crisis, the population comes together and fights as one.

Regenland is ruled by Steward Tilzer. The Steward has been in power far longer than should be allowed and is ridiculed by the people. There is hostile opposition to the Steward and policies. The right to rule was granted by foreign imposition, and that power is maintained through vague threats and a constant state of fear.

Laws are enforced by a local thugs, but are rarely enforced. Justice is served without trial, with a common punishment being fines.

Crime is rare. The most common crime is petty theft. The imprisonment rate is 1.70% of the population (57 adults).

Regenland has a disinterested attitude towards the military. Their standing army of 502 citizens (15%) is at the ready, with a reserve force of 209 (6.25%). Of the active duty military, 22 (4.5%) are special forces. Due to their disinterested attitude and sturdy wall, Regenland is admirably fortified. Regenland fighters are much maligned for their use of composite bows in battle. They are ridiculed for their phlanyx formations and are considered reasonably well skilled in battle.

Around town you'll hear the following legends:
  • Years ago, the royals of Claypool lived happily. Things were peaceful, but one day Ssz'k'morn the serial killer took over the town. The royals tried to kill Ssz'k'morn, but failed miserably. Along came a hero named Per Healthydigger, who was an expert bowman. Per had a plan to trick the serial killer by killing the serial killer while she slept. When Per Healthydigger faced the serial killer, Per Healthydigger banished Ssz'k'morn.
  • In the olden days, the royals of Johnna thrived. Things were quiet, but one day Pors the cyclops destroyed a nearby village. The royals tried to kill Pors, but failed miserably. Along came a halfling named Amaly Shortley, who was a skilled storyteller. Amaly had a plan to trick the cyclops by using magic to banish it. When Amaly Shortley faced the cyclops, Amaly Shortley tricked Pors.
  • Once upon a time, a dragon named Trellrr hunted the town. They say that if you hear her, you will die within 24 hours.
