Liddholt has a Tropical Seasonal Forest climate, which is characterized by constant high temperatures and seasonal torrential rains, and has hot, rainy and cool seasons. Winds in the region are continual and the temperature is generally hot with minor variation. Precipitation is strong, and the sky is clear.

Liddholt sees a binary star overhead: Lujor, an average blue star and Silek, a large yellow star. Liddholt also has a single moon: Elalabos, a small bone white moon. In the night sky, you see two celestial objects: a massive black hole that has been around for time immemorial and an imposing pulsar that has been around for generations.

Visitors are greeted with a crumbling conglomerate stone barricade that is 10 meters tall. The city wall protects the core 100% of the city, with 5 towers spread along the 2.91 kilometer wall.

Liddholt is governed through an emirate, where the supreme power is in the hands of an emir, who may be an absolute overlord with constitutionally limited authority. The government as a whole is seen as surprisingly decent. Officials in Liddholt are often seen as the epitome corruption and the policies are hated. The political influence of Liddholt in the region is declining due to racial tensions. In times of crisis, the population overcomes their differences.

Liddholt is ruled by Saint Doap Oakfang. The Saint has been in power far longer than should be allowed and is revered by the people. There is forceful opposition to the Saint and policies. The right to rule was granted by appointment, and that power is maintained by strict laws and corrupt guards.

Laws are enforced by an organized crime bosses, who can be bribed. Justice is served by a council, with a common punishment being indentured servitude.
