Dun lia has a Semi-Arid Steppe climate, which is characterized by a severe lack of precpitation most of the year over a variety of temperatures, and has rainy and dry seasons. Winds in the region are strong and the temperature is generally hot with strong variation. Precipitation is non-existant, and the sky is cloudy.

Dun lia sees a trinary star overhead: Bex, a supermassive white star; Abac, a small yellow star; and Luc, an average blue star. Dun lia also has a single moon: Chatanoe, an average pale yellow moon. In the night sky, you see nothing unusual.

Around town you'll hear the following legends:
  • Long, long ago, the constable of Bad Grundyduk lived in peace. Things were always nice, but one day an evil spirit named Khalzin fe Khalzor kidnapped a princess. The constable tried to stop the spirit, but were caught. Along came Kuk Greatkill the hobgoblin, who was a sneaky thief. Kuk had a plan to trick the spirit by causing a distraction while others struck. When Kuk Greatkill faced the spirit, Kuk Greatkill defeated Khalzin fe Khalzor and was killed in the process.
  • Legends tell of Pot's Bag of beans, a special bag of beans with the power to disappear on its own. It mysteriously disappeared.
  • In the olden days, a spirit named Yerzin frequented the countryside and was drawn towards those that have killed innocents. Some say that if you caught him, you will be killed.
  • In olden times, the royals of Jonesald thrived. Things were peaceful, but one day Mhul Armcracker the serial killer kidnapped a princess. The royals tried to kill Mhul Armcracker, but were caught. Along came a grieving hobgoblin named Mun Ironhowl, who was a sneaky thief. Mun had the thought to slay the serial killer by using magic to banish it. When Mun Ironhowl faced the serial killer, Mun Ironhowl defeated Mhul Armcracker and was killed in the process.
  • Way back when, the villagers of Lestbin thrived. Things were good, but one day Momd Rantbeast the wizard destroyed a nearby village. The villagers tried to kill Momd Rantbeast, but failed miserably. Along came Morrun Lightningcrown the deep dwarf, who was an expert bowman. Morrun had a plan to trick the wizard by making a wager with Momd Rantbeast. When Morrun Lightningcrown faced the wizard, Morrun Lightningcrown killed the wizard and was killed in the process.
