Adlag has a Temperate Deciduous Forest climate, which is characterized by warm and wet summers with mild and dry winters, and has prevernal, spring, summer, monsoon, autumn and winter seasons. Winds in the region are continual and the temperature is generally mild with little variation. Precipitation is heavy, and the sky is clear.

Adlag sees a single star overhead: Menek, a small orange star. Adlag also has no moons. In the night sky, you see two celestial objects: an imposing supernova that has been around for all eternity and an imposing nebula that has been around for millenia.

Visitors are greeted with a cracking granite fence that is 13 meters tall. The city wall protects the core 97% of the city, with 5 towers spread along the 3.46 kilometer wall.

Adlag is governed through an oligarchy, where control is exercised by a small group of individuals whose authority generally is based on wealth or power. The government as a whole is seen as slipshod. Officials in Adlag are often seen as crooked and the policies are loved. The political influence of Adlag in the region is wasting away due to riots in the region. In times of crisis, the population stages ineffective protests.

Adlag is ruled by President Khalssen heh Khalal. The President has been in power for several decades and is revered by the people. There is forceful opposition to the President and policies. The right to rule was granted by forgery, and that power is maintained by strict laws and incorruptible guards.

Laws are enforced by an organized crime bosses, but are rarely enforced. Justice is served by a council, with a common punishment being maiming.

  • Many years ago, the villagers of Ferndew City lived in peace. Things were quiet, but one day a demon named Calira Bloodkos kidnapped a princess. The villagers tried to kill Calira Bloodkos, but didn't get close. Along came a hero named S'herzin fe Khalssen, who was a skilled storyteller. S'herzin had the thought to slay the demon by causing a distraction while others struck. When S'herzin fe Khalssen faced the demon, S'herzin fe Khalssen tricked Calira Bloodkos and rescued Ferndew City.
  • Some time ago, a serial killer named Tean frequented the streets at dusk. Folks say that if you confront him, you will be stricken blind unless you answer a riddle.
  • Once upon a time, the royals of Bradbridge Crest lived in harmony. Things were peaceful, but one day an evil spirit named Ghezin se Yerzin stole a priceless heirloom. The royals tried to stop the spirit, but were caught. Along came a pacifistic ogre named Gubal Oaksnout, who was a valiant knight. Gubal had the thought to slay the spirit by causing a distraction while others struck. When Gubal Oaksnout faced the spirit, Gubal Oaksnout killed the spirit and rescued Bradbridge Crest.
  • Years ago, the constable of Donnellains lived happily. Things were quiet, but one day Enrc the devil slayed a local hero. The constable tried to stop the devil, but failed miserably. Along came a ogre named Ghak Oxfang, who was a valiant knight. Ghak had a plan to trick the devil by making a wager with Enrc. When Ghak Oxfang faced the devil, Ghak Oxfang killed the devil and was killed in the process.
