Hartridge has a Temperate Deciduous Forest climate, which is characterized by warm and wet summers with mild and dry winters, and has spring, summer, fall and winter seasons. Winds in the region are wild and the temperature is generally chilly with minor variation. Precipitation is heavy, and the sky is partly cloudy.

Hartridge sees a single star overhead: Mek, a small orange star. Hartridge also has no moons. In the night sky, you see two celestial objects: an imposing supernova that has been around for millenia and an imposing nebula that has been around for decades.

Officials in Hartridge are often seen as honorable and the policies are ridiculed. The political influence of Hartridge in the region is shrinking due to riots in the region. In times of crisis, the population stages ineffective protests.

Around town you'll hear the following legends:
  • Legends tell of Khalzor's Bag of beans, a possessed bag of beans with the capability to move on its own accord. It mysteriously disappeared.
  • Years ago, a Boogyman haunted the region. Villagers say that the Boogyman will offer you sweets, then sell you into slavery.
  • Many years ago, the royals of Guthax lived in peace. Things were quiet, but one day an evil demon named Dit stole a priceless heirloom. The royals tried to stop the demon, but failed miserably. Along came a nervous lycanthrope named Jam Jackgan, who was an expert bowman. Jam had the thought to slay the demon by using magic to banish it. When Jam Jackgan faced the demon, Jam Jackgan defeated Dit and was killed in the process.
